To develop education in rural areas the society Vidya Bharti Shiksha Sansthan, Lucknow founded in 1991 in presidentship of Late Sri Mahesh Prasad Maurya. The society established Sri Mahesh Prasad Degreee College in village Bindoa, Mohanlalganj, Lucknow for co-education and Sri Mahesh Prasad Maurya Girls Inter College, Samesi, Lucknow.

Sri Mahesh Prasad Degree College, Mohanlalganj, Lucknow established in 2003 and associated with  Lucknow University in faculty of B.A. (Hindi, English, Sociology, Economics, Home science, History and Education), B.Com. and B.Ed..The University Grants Commission (UGC), India, has recognised the college under section 2(F) in year 2009.

The Rajarshi Tondon Open University, Allahabad provide its learning centre in B.A., B.Com., M.A.(Education, Sociology, Hindi, English, Economics &History), B.Sc., B.C.A., BLIS, PGDCA, DIC, CIC, PGDFM, PGDMM and PGDHRD.

The college has proper faculty to teach the student, to secure and motivate good environment to the student and demonstrate their capacity. The Management of the college is proceeding to provide more higher qualification in rural area students.
